What I like about asset management is the fast-paced, dynamic, performance-driven working environment. While working with investments, I have a great responsibility to perform well. To succeed in that, I need to be constantly up-to-date with the latest news and trends in the industry. This task can be highly intellectually rewarding but also challenging at times.
I have always wanted to gain experience in an organization with strong European roots, but even stronger international presence. The programme is based on four specialized rotations. Each of them offer a valuable and solid base upon which to decide your career path and professional direction afterwards. As one of my rotations, I was working within the Multi-Asset boutique. I supported the team by conducting research on existing Risk Parity models and developing alternatives for increasing the effectiveness of this process even further. On a daily basis I interacted with a lot of colleagues from different business units, like portfolio managers, macro-economists or quantitative researchers. What’s more, at NN Investment Partners you have a direct contact and constant interaction with senior (and very senior) management. Everyone is extremely approachable and willing to share their knowledge and experience, which really motivates me to come to work every day and strive to perform at my best.
